Paul comments on being lowered from a wall in a basket, as a means of escape. That’s the 3rd story I recall of a biblical figure escaping that way. Those baskets must have been large and strong, perhaps for laundry or to hold firewood, or crops. The women who wove them would be strong, to pull large straps of damp or young reeds into tight baskets. They would have no idea that their menial and mundane labor would serve to save a life, and be recorded in scripture. We never know how our work will be used – good reason to do all, as in service to the Lord.
