In today’s verses in 1 Samuel, the Philistines feared the ark of the covenant and sent it from one city to the next. They believed wherever the ark was, power went with it. With any other object, that would be untrue, but God did reside with the Ark of the covenant. And He showed His existence by toppling the figure of the Philistines, it’s limbs breaking off. Did they consider worshipping Jehovah? No, they rejected Him and sent the ark away.
