Placeholder for September 20 meditation … to be updated on October 21, 2021.
I’m commenting on the verses from 1 Samuel, in September’s reading. Samuel prophesied that Saul would become a different person, before he was to become king, and that is what happened. God equipped him for his new role. When God calls us to do something, He equips us with the skills, knowledge & resources we will need. But then Saul still had to have faith that he was equipped and he was given a test, of sorts. He heard men in one place had been threatened with having one eye gouged out, if they didn’t agree to the terms of their enemies. Saul rallied, a battle was fought and the enemies wiped out. Saul had faith that God had equipped him for battle. God will equip us for the day, but we still need to get out of bed and rise to the challenge.
