  • One theme in the Bible is humility. David was humble, knew he was of common beginnings, yet he fought his best for king Saul, confident in his strength and that the Lord was with him. Jesus teaches us to not exalt ourselves, yet that we are precious in God’s sight, that we should not exalt ourselves, thus we are in a position to be recognized when others notice our skills. The Bible is solid in teaching us that balance, of knowing our precious worth to God, as His children, yet never forgetting how small we are in His sight, helpless without Him. It is am important distinction from the world, that promotes climbing the ladder to success, doing what’s best for just ourselves
