Placeholder for September 26 meditation … to be updated on October 27, 2021.
I’m commenting on the verses for today, 9/26/21, finally reading it tonight. It’s shocking that Saul strayed so far from the Lord, that he had the priests killed, because Ahimelech prophesied and the result was favorable to David but not Saul. Saul has become so full of himself, as we’d say, so vain, he doesn’t even care that he has lost God’s favor. It seems he has forgotten Who God is. I’m also surprised there is no immediate consequence from God, to the priests being killed. Perhaps that comes soon; I don’t remember. God is not rash, but patient and exacts His justice at the right time.
