Verse Focus (Proverbs 25:6–7)
6Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence,
and do not claim a place among his great men;
7it is better for him to say to you, “Come up here,”
than for him to humiliate you before his nobles.

Placeholder for September 30 meditation … to be updated as soon as possible.
In Luke 20, the Jewish leaders didn’t charge Jesus because of blasphemy, for claiming to be God, or disrupting the people, but because He spoke against them. In other words, He made them look bad. Tjus, they were abusing their power and were personally offended.. Later in the chapter, He teaches His followers that those teachers loved to br esteemed. When we’re in a position, we need to be humble, and make sure our behavior reflects that position, or reflects the Lord. And not respond from our own emotions or for personal gain. We need to remember Who we represent.
