  • It occurs to me that Jesus’ family were in a kind of awkward position, in the time after the resurrection. Jesus was gone physically, the Holy Spirit had not yet come to believers, and leadership in the new Church was just being navigated by the chosen 12. Did people on the outskirts view them with skepticism, after Jesus died? Did the family feel defensive, or just as confused as the other believers? Did the disciples and other leaders,, in this fledgling church, feel protective of Mary and Jesus’ brothers or look to them for assurance and input? Those were difficult times for all, and yet faith grew and the Church was established, against all human odds. That is a testimony to the reality of God and the power of the, soon to come, Holy Spirit.

  • The book of Nahum is very sobering. God’s anger towards Nineveh a it’s predicted destruction. I am thankful for a God’s grace that so far has kept our nation from being destroyed. I pray for revival. That hearts would turn to God
I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit to all believers.
