Meditation
Placeholder for the October 16 meditation … to be updated as soon as possible.
How sad that the Jewish leaders were more concerned with the people’s response to the healed man, than the truth. Their main concern was how to stop the spread of Christianity and they feared the people, who were praising God. So blinded they were, with these side issues, they completely missed recognizing the Messiah.
Yes – they were not about to allow the truth to weaken their grip on power and control – though I was impressed by Gamaliel who later brought up the argument as to why it was best to leave these teachers alone and let it “run its course”.
