Psalm 119 tells a theme, over and over, in different ways: God, I have sinned, but I study Your Word, love Your laws, and meditate on Your ways all of my days. Will You, in turn, preserve the life of Your servant and deal with the wicked ones against me. It’s not a bargain, for we can’t bargain with God. But the writer pours out His heart, His love for God’s Word, laws, and justice, and offers a prayer that God would preserve His life and conquer evil with His goodness.
