Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family,
and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you —

All praises to God! Since I prayed my bold prayer to get a job “speedily,” there was a flurry of interest in me as a candidate. I had a number of interviews, and now, 47 days after that prayer, I’m starting my new job. Hallelujah!
As we start this month of Thanksgiving, I’m particularly thankful for employment and very grateful for all that God has done for me.
Psalm 121 ends with saying the Lord will watch “over my life”, and I am so thankful He does that. While living at my Dad’s 3 nights a week is a struggle, and something my sister and I would be shorter term, since I told the Lord I would do it, until it’s His time to take my dad, I have definitely felt the Lord watching over my life and blessing me. I also can see He makes a way, when there seems none. I’m usually swamped, from the end of October, with my church’s Angel Tree ministry. This year, we are serving about 180 kids. I prayed and committed to coordinating it again, and since have had 2 small groups volunteer to help. When we don’t resist God, He meets our needs and blesses us, His children.
There’s a lot packed into Psalm 121 the first two verses are good reminders that are help indeed comes from the Lord
It has always been comforting to know that the Lord watches over us. I can recount many times when I’ve been kept from harm and I’m sure there have been many times that I have been unknowingly protected,
