This morning I’m grateful for cameras and the ability to capture details of God’s creation.

One Reply to “November 2 ▪ Day 306”

  • Today’s readings leave us with cligg-hangars. Hezekiah, king of Judah, has been threatened by the king of Assyria, who is ready to attack Jerusalem. Then in Acts 21, Paul is captured and beaten, also in Jerusalem. He is “saved”, by Roman soldiers and allowed to speak to the crowds who beat him, before being taken before a Roman ruler – what will he say? I tend to like solitude, routine, my schedule, finding peace in the quiet. But God allows what feels like havoc, at times, forcing me to rise up in what can feel like I’m preparing for a battle. In those times, God allows me to stand on the edge of a cliff. Am I going to trudge back down the hill, into the valley of the known and mundane? Or am I going to trust His plan, wait on the cliff and see the helicopter He sends to save me, or maybe jump off the cliff to find He has given me a parachute or wings?
