Meditation

Alas, no updates today. Prayers for adjusting to the increased energy demands of working full-time would be appreciated. Thank you!

Placeholder for the November 7 meditation … to be updated as soon as possible.

Today I’m thankful for a day of rest!

  • Kirsty, I am praying for your transition back to full-time work, and no longer getting to be a night owl.

In reading I Chronicles, the genealogist in me wants to plot a family tree, but I’m sure it has been done. In Acts, as Oaul recounts his conversion story, I am struck by Jesus’ words, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” Jesus does not say His children were being persecuted, but Him, Himself. Like a parent, it is His pain and suffering when His children are harmed. This is one more reason why we who have means must help those vulnerable and destitute, to know Him and have their basic needs met. For what we do unto them, we are really giving to the Lord, Himself.
