I love the words in Acts 27 – when Paul is speaking to those on the ship, he refers to “the God to Whom I Belong”. Paul doesn’t just know God exists, and does not just serve God out of duty, fear, or reverence. He knows he belongs to God, that he is God’s child. There is hope, security, warmth, privilege in belonging. And we don’t just belong to God’s Church, we belong to Him. We are each that wayward sheep, #100, that He will leave the 99 to find and bring back to the safety of the flock. May we revel in belonging to God!
