This morning I’m thankful for hot beverages, and for the senses of taste and touch. On a dark fall or winter morning, when I rise before the sun, there’s something especially comforting about drinking that cup of hot coffee as I prepare to face the day. Thankful for warmth, thankful for taste, and thankful that each new day comes with new mercies!
In 1 Chronicles 21, David realizes his sin has the potential to cause suffering to the people, though he us the only one guilty. He confesses and chooses 1 of the 3 punishments the Lord offers. Part way through, after many have died, the Lord has mercy on His sheep and stops the punishment, sparing many lives. The choices we make can unknowingly affect many lives, so it is so important that we seek the Lord, in making decisions, and do our best to be faithful followers
