Meditation
Placeholder for the November 28 meditation … to be updated as soon as possible.
Today I am thankful for the wind. Even now the trees outside my apartment are swaying, the branches dancing in the wind. (Proverbs about bending and not breaking come to mind.) In the house where I grew up, when I went to bed I used to listen to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. So I associate the sound of the wind with the comfort of childhood security. Wind can be gentle or ferocious. When it blows strongly, I am grateful for shelter. Always, though, seeing, hearing, and feeling the wind makes me feel alive.
I too am thankful for the wind. I love feeling the breeze on my face; it’s like a caress from the Spirit. Strong winds make me think of the power of God.
